It’s Sunday Song!

Curious to know the selected song for this Sunday?

I decided to pick Murphy’s Theme –  the Silent Hill Downpou Korn theme, featured on the TGS 2011 trailer.

Unofficial Lyrics:

I start to search all the dark places that I have found
All the deep creases in my nightmare are to live somehow

I want to keep the pace
I want to figure it out
I gotta do it this way
If I don’t, it will never stop

Have you ever really known it’s the blanket of shame?
From the torment of pain?
As you realize that no one’s ever been there
Have you ever looked at the violence you hide?
All the dying inside?
You can’t escape, it’s always been there

Consumed by hatred in my nightmare is no letting go
It eats me up, there’s no way out, I’ve got to make it so

I want to keep the pace
I want to figure it out
I gotta do it this way
If I don’t, it will never stop

Have you ever really known it’s the blanket of shame?
From the torment of pain?
As you realize that no one’s ever been there
Have you ever looked at the violence you hide?
All the dying inside?
You can’t escape, it’s always been there

Close my eyes, I go to sleep
He’s always there, I start to weep
(Repeated 8 times)

Have you ever really known it’s the blanket of shame?
From the torment of pain?
As you realize that no one’s ever been there
Have you ever looked at the violence you hide?
All the dying inside?
You can’t escape, it’s always been there

The Possible Meaning

The song could be describing Murphy’s personality and all the anger, pain, and violence he is repressing inside him and that it is slowly tearing him apart and that he so desperately wants to escape from both it and himself.
