That’s it, the patch that was recently released for Playstation 3 with the goal of solving the well known technical problems of Silent Hill: HD Collection, won’t make its way into the Xbox 360.
The announcement was made by Konami through a press release.
PlayStation 3 Online Patch Deployed. XBOX 360 Patch No Longer Scheduled for Release
Today, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced that while a PlayStation®3 online title update for Silent Hill HD Collection has been deployed for download via PlayStation®Network, plans for an XBOX®360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources.
Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, KONAMI issued a title update for Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3), which fixed frame rate issues as well as audio-synching and other reported issues. KONAMI apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the XBOX 360 sku.
Silent Hill HD Collection is available at retail stores nationwide.
This decision is certainly very sad, as Konami decided to keep Xbox 360 players from getting a patch to solve technical problems on their product, the HD Collection. Therefore, if Xbox players paid the same for that HD Collection, why aren’t they able to experience the game with better conditions than the ones Konami presented on this failed remaster of Silent Hill 2 and 3?
No answers about these facts, but of one thing I’m sure, Xbox is not getting a patch for HD Collection.
