HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SILENT HILL – What was your first experience on the series?

It was the year 1999, 23rd February, when the horror universe changed forever. The story of a father capable of anything to find his beloved daughter in a ghost town called Silent Hill, has marked the start of one of the most acclaimed survival horror videogames of all time. 25 Years have passed and it still thrills and scares so many. We hope 25 more years will come, of course with new adventures in the town of all fears.

To mark the 25th birthday of Silent Hill 1, we want to know when was YOUR first experience on the series. Doesn’t matter which entry was your first, just share with us your stories, we’d love to hear them!

BLOOBER TEAM NOT HAPPY WITH SILENT HILL 2 COMBAT TRAILER!

There was something everyone noticed after last month’s State of Play and Silent Hill 2 Remake combat reveal trailer: Bloober Team’s silence regarding the newly shown material. They didn’t say a word, and now it makes sense. According to the article by Eurogamer, the so antecipated trailer did not impress Head of Bloober Team’s Piotr Babieno. Here are his words:

SILENT HILL 4 The Room Remade on UNREAL ENGINE 5

This 2:30 minute video was created by Maxim Dorokhov, who shared it on his Youtube channel. It is a short Silent Hill 4: The Room remake, made on Unreal Engine 5. This work looks wonderfull and so impressive, it makes me sad it isn’t an official work. Thank you, Maxim!

Here are some glimpses of yesterday’s Silent Hill 2 Remake Combat reveal trailer.

From what I can judge, the mood seems to be pretty close to the original, however there are some aspects needing urgent improvements, such as character design and animations. Somehow they felt too… Indie to say the least. But in general, it feels like we can expect a quite good experience.

The Silent Hill Game You Can NEVER Play Again!

What if I told you Harry and Cheryl Mason weren’t alone in the car when it crashed in Silent Hill? What if I told you there is a whole new layer to the story of the first game? And by layer, I’m not talking about minor details, I’m talking about big canon stuff!

To be honest, until this moment I also had no clue of all this, but I’ve just came across a video of Silent Hillside and I couldn’t miss the chance to share it with you guys. So, therefore, all the credits go to Silent Hillside for this great video that goes around this Silent Hill game you will never be able to play again!

Ascension to… (I don’t really know)

The title says it all, we are going to talk about Ascension. It is or wants to be an interactive show, and has just came back from its holiday break, so let’s use this opportunity to analyze it. Please, keep in mind that this is only an opinion article, meaning it’s basicly my interpretation and thoughts on this new “Silent Hill” title.

SILENT HILL 2 REMAKE COMING THIS YEAR (2024)

What confirmed that, was the video released by Playstation regarding the “Upcoming Games in 2024”. It seems like Silent Hill 2 The Remake makes part of the list, as it was expected.

On top of that is the rumour saying the game is supposed to be in its polishing phase. Who claims it is the insider “Dusk Golem” on the website ResetEra. Here’s what he had to say:

Silent Hills – The playable Teaser

No need to say anything… You just need to know that Silent Hill is coming back and Hideo Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus are in it. Here’s the teaser for Silent Hills (Yes it seems to be a plural name). Anne’s Story

Remember when I’ve posted the first sketches of “Anne’s Story” comic? If you don’t, don’t worry. Here are some new sketches plus final art for the upcoming IDW comic “Silent Hill Downpour : Anne’s Story”. That’s it, the officer Anne Cunnigham will be the protagonist of this side story that will show the events paralel to Murphy’s nightmare in Silent Hill.

The story will be written by Tom Waltz, also know for writing other Silent Hill comics alongside Downpour itself. Art credits goes to Tristan “T-Rex” Jones.

Silent Hill: Cold Heart

No, Cold Heart, it’s not a new Silent Hill game, instead it is how Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was suposed to be called. This was shared by Climax Studios via facebook, alongside with many other concept art pieces from Shattered memories as well.
